Broadband provider Namesco is offering its Gold Broadband for just £1 a month in support of National Get Online Day.
The promotion is running until the end of October and customers who sign up by the 31 October will get speeds of up to 8Mb, a free wireless router and free set up for just £1 a month for the first three months, £14.95 thereafter.
Get Online Day is all about discovering what the internet can offer, from paying bills online to helping kids with their homework.
Jason Smith, Namesco's (www.Names.co.uk) operations director, said: “We want to show our support of these initiatives and encourage everyone to see that getting online and discovering how the internet can benefit them, really is that easy.”
The package comes with a 1GB monthly download allowance and extra usage can be purchased for £1 per GB.
Although there is a 12 month contract on the Gold Broadband package, customers can pay an exit fee to terminate early. This is £70.50 for first time broadband users or £35.25 for customers who migrated to the ISP.
“Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “At only £1 a month for the first three months, there are few providers that can match this offer. However, users need to be careful about costs escalating if they regularly exceed their download allowance.
“If you use programmes like the BBC iPlayer or regularly download music, you could end up paying more than you’d expected,” he warned.
