18 month mobile broadband contract
If you find that perfect mobile broadband package you might want to hold onto it for a little longer by signing an 18 month contract - which might even get you cheaper, or free, hardware or a lower monthly cost.
3 (Three)
All existing 3 (www.Three.co.uk) customers willing to sign up for 18 months get 50 per cent off their monthly mobile broadband fee for life, bringing the cost down to as little as £5 a month. All customers taking out an 18 month contract also get the choice of a free USB modem stick or dongle on any of its Broadband Lite, Broadband 5GB or Broadband 15GB packages, costing £10, £15 and £30 respectively with download allowances of 1GB, 5GB and a massive 15GB a month.
Vodafone
All Vodafone Broadband (www.Vodafone.co.uk) customers can now get free hardware when they sign up - even those wanting the faster USB modem stick Pro. The Broadband 3GB package costs £15 a month while the 5GB package costs £25 a month on an 18 month contract.
O2
All O2 (www.O2.co.uk) customers taking its 18 or 24 month contract get a free USB modem stick when they sign up. Two packages are available; a 3GB monthly allowance for £15 a month or a 10GB monthly allowance for £35 a month.
Orange
Orange (www.Orange.co.uk) offers an 18 month contract to customers wanting to take its mobile broadband. It costs £15 a month and comes with a 3GB download allowance and a USB modem stick. It also offers a 24 month option to customers taking a “free laptop” and like O2, Orange doesn’t offer the already outdated dongles.
Virgin Media
Cable broadband provider Virgin Media (www.VirginMedia.com) also offers an 18 month mobile broadband contract. It costs £15 a month and comes with a 3GB monthly download allowance and a free USB modem stick. Existing L or XL broadband customers can also add a 1GB mobile broadband package for just £5 a month.
T- Mobile
T-Mobile Broadband (www.T-Mobile.co.uk) offers three different 18 month options on its mobile broadband packages. For £17.02 a month on the Mobile Broadband Plus plan you can choose from either a standard USB modem stick or a USB modem stick with a share dock - allowing up to five users to connect at the same time. Both options come with a 3GB monthly fair usage allowance - so you won’t automatically be charged if you exceed your limit and inclusive wireless hotspot access.
Alternatively you can go for a 10GB monthly download allowance with a free USB modem stick and wifi allowance for £25.53 a month on the Mobile Broadband Max option.
T-Mobile also offers 12 and 24 month contracts.
