hi,
the old packages of karoo were up to 8Mb/s.The latest ones are sold as adsl2+ and they say you can expect up to 24Mb/s.I wonder if your tests were only made on the old packages and would be happy to see the same test results for adsl2+ to compare to other providers (with surely not the same ranking). The upload speed should also appear and be part of the comparaison as more and more people need higher upload for online gaming. The higher upload you can expect from karoo for an adsl2+ connection is 1Mb/s,in fact the upload of a 8Mb/s connection.
Best regards.

I am with Karoo in Hull and i get solid 10mbps on conection speed and I am 1.7 Km away from my exchange. This is on adsl2 over normal copper wire. So for all you moaners wanting another ISP in HULL, i dont know why as karoo provide the better speeds. - Jan 22 2009 12:45PM
I average 5+ Mbps on a copper BT line which is about 500m from exchange as crow flies. Your table is not comparing like with like. The BT figure includes users in remote rural areas which the 'cherry picking' competitive companies are not interested in and you make no mention of contention ratios or reliability. In December I upgraded to Tiscali's 8mb service as we couldn't get speeds high enough on the 2Mb package to view the BBC I player. But even with the 8mb package evening speeds have barely scraped above 1.5 MB and last night I recorded 325KB with www.speedtest.net. Complete pants eh! - Jan 12 2009 12:25PM
