About BT Business Broadband
BT Business Broadband is the business arm of one of the UK’s biggest broadband providers. It offers a wide range of services, from fibre optic cable connections for small businesses to packages that include calls, wifi and even mobile broadband.
It launched its 40Mb broadband packages in February 2010, after upgrading millions of users to 20Mb broadband in summer 2009, with business customers being the first to benefit from the new, faster speeds.
The BT Business Broadband service
BT Business offers two 40Mb superfast broadband packages; Fibre Broadband, which comes with 40Mb downloads and 2Mb uploads, or Fibre Broadband Plus, which has uploads at a massive 10Mb and priority fault resolution. It will also be launching a new range of Fibre Broadband & Phone Line bundles soon.
BT offers three copper wire ADSL Business Total Broadband packages; all come with speeds of up to 20Mb. Option 1 comes with a 10GB monthly download allowance, suitable for home office and small business users, while Options 2 and 3 offer “unlimited broadband” downloads, subject to a fair usage policy, as well as other added extras.
Option 2 customers get an inclusive allowance of 250 wifi minutes a month, while Option 3 users get 500 wifi minutes a month and free mobile broadband with a 1GB download allowance.
BT Business Broadband benefits
On top of its fast, reliable broadband, BT Business also offers a range of other services.
Mobile broadband and wireless hotspot access from BT Openzone help to keep you connected on the go, while web hosting, static IP addresses, private circuits and VoIP internet telephony can all help you cut costs or improve productivity.
At launch in February 2010, BT offered its 40Mb fibre broadband packages to around 500,000 homes and businesses, with plans to increase this by a further 2.5 million by summer and reach four million by the end of 2010.
