BT drops prices for new customers
(29-03-07) - BT is dropping introductory prices for its broadband subscriptions, from Thursday March 29th.
The new prices will reduce the overall subscription cost, but the discounts only affect new customers and not standard tariffs. Customers will now be able to get BT Total Broadband from £8.95 per month for the first six months.
Details of the price cuts are as follows:
The price of BT Total Broadband Option 1 (18 month contract) price is coming down from £9.95 to £8.95 a month for the first six months.
For BT Total Broadband Option 2 (18 month contract), customers will pay £13.99 rather than £14.99 per month for the first six months.
And for BT Total Broadband Option 3 (18 month contract), the first six months will cost £18.99 rather than £22.99.
Customers on a 12-month contract will also benefit from reductions for the first three months.
Chris Eagle, Commercial Manager at BroadbandChoices.co.uk, says: “It’s great to see prices coming down, particularly as the BT Total Broadband packages come with added extras like security measures. But we would like to see the price cuts extended to the standard tariffs, to reward customers for their loyalty.”
