About Eclipse business broadband
Eclipse (www.Eclipse.net.uk) was founded in 1995 in Devon. Still based in Devon, the provider's mantra when it comes to broadband speeds is "we are committed to giving you the highest possible speed available on your connection".
The provider offers an average speed of 13Mb and says that its ADSL (copper wire telephone line) broadband speeds are among the fastest available, while itsfibre broadbandoffers a guaranteed minimum speed of 12Mb at all times.
It's ADSL business broadband packages come with a wide range of features, including unlimitedstatic IP addresses, email addresses, a website hosting starter pack and free calls to UK landlines.
As well as a minimum speed of 12Mb during peak times, Eclipse's business fibre broadband packages also include a modem, static IP addresses, 10 email addresses and 250MB of storage per mailbox.
The Eclipse business broadband service
Eclipse's basic business broadband package, Home Office, offers the highest speeds available via your phone line and comes with a 10GBdownload limit, making it suitable for home business users who don't need a massive data allowance.
The pricier Bronze and Silver packages come with larger usage limits of 50GB and 100GB respectively, though downloads are "unmetered" overnight between the off-peak hours of 11pm and 9am. The Gold package offersunlimited broadbandwithout afair usage policyortraffic management. These three packages also offer the fastest broadband your phone line can deliver, with an average speed of 13Mb being received by existing users.
Eclipse also offers two fibre broadband packages - Eclipse Fibre and Eclipse Fibre Pro. Both offer a minimum guaranteed speed of 12Mb during the peak three hours in your area. The provider uses the fastest available technology to ensure you get the highest speed possible. Eclipse Fibre offers you a 100GB download limit, while Eclipse Fibre Pro offers double that. As with the Bronze and Silver packages, downloads are unlimited between 11pm and 9am.
Eclipse business broadband benefits
While it is a smaller, more specialised provider, Eclipse has been offering fibre broadband longer than big guns like Sky and TalkTalk and for only a marginally shorter time than BT (www.Business.BT.com), so it has a lot of experience in that area, and with the internet in general having began offeringdial-up in 1995.
Eclipse prides itself on its small business focus, and the service and support it provides. It has a team dedicated to finding faults on its network, meaning it offers 99.9% availability, with most faults being fixed before users are aware of them. Rather than have an overseas call centre like manybusiness broadband providers, Eclipse's customer support comes from the staff working at its headquarters. Around 75% of problems customers call in with are fixed at the first time of asking.
The business broadband packages offered by Eclipse are available with a wide range of features designed to get you business up and running online, from domain names, web space and static IP addresses to email addresses, Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint licences, and PC data back-up.
