NAT

Network address translation. Configuration used to add extra security on a broadband connection and to allow more than one computer to use the same IP address.

Network adapter

Or network interface card (NIC) which allows networked computers access to another device, such as a printer.

Network ports

Different types of software uses different ports to access the internet, but if your router has a firewall these ports might be blocked. Refer to your manual to find out how to open them.
