Mobile broadband operator 3 has launched a new range of packages for small business users.
As well as increasing the amount of data included in its plans 3 Broadband (www.Three.co.uk) is also offering customers who sign up to an 18 or 24 month contract the chance to get a second mobile broadband plan half price.

The two new plans, called Broadband 5GB and Broadband 15GB will replace the ISPs Broadband Plus and Broadband Max business packages which had monthly download limits of 3GB and 7GB respectively.
As with 3’s consumer packages, any existing customers can also benefit from a 50 per cent discount on their mobile broadband line rental.
Renato Bottini, head of 3 Business, said: “3 Business has always been focussed on offering small businesses a wide range of communications options at the best possible price. It is especially important in today’s climate for small businesses to be able to work smartly on the go, without paying over the odds.
“With these new offerings we believe we have achieved this goal, providing a service at a price which makes mobile working a reality for small businesses.”
The Broadband 5GB package costs £12.77 a month plus VAT and the Broadband 15GB plan costs £21.27 plus VAT. All usage over your monthly allowance will be charged at 8.5p per MB plus VAT.
Both plans come with a free mobile dongle but customers wanting the Huawei E169 USB modem stick - which 3 says is 30-50 per cent faster - will be charged £10. th
Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “The competition in the mobile broadband market is really hotting up. Only yesterday Virgin Media (www.VirginMedia.com) slashed its prices to just £5 a month for existing broadband customers, while last week O2 Broadband (www.O2.co.uk) revamped its offerings and earlier this month BT Broadband (www.BT.com) began offering ‘free’ mobile broadband to its business broadband customers.
“3’s new Broadband 15GB is now the most generous allowance out there, but you should still be careful and monitor your downloads to make sure you don’t end up with a far bigger bill at the end of the month,” he added.
