3 Broadband won the award for the Best Mobile Broadband Package at the recent Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2009
3 Broadband (www.Three.co.uk) beat off rivals including O2 Mobile Broadband (www.O2.co.uk), T-Mobile Broadband (www.T-Mobile.co.uk) and Vodafone Broadband (www.Vodafone.co.uk) with its netbook and 15GB mobile broadband deal.
The judges said of the package, which comes with a free Samsung N130 netbook, “A mighty 15GB makes this tariff a market leader, reflecting the requirements of real life like those data-sapping media transfers.
“Featuring an additional 100 free texts per month, this two year deal from 3 costs just £25 per month, and makes 3 the clear winner if Best Mobile Broadband package.”
Last year 3 took home the Mobile Broadband Tariff of the Year award.
Marc Allera, sales & marketing director at 3, said: “We are delighted to be recognised as winners for our mobile broadband year on year and to be able to offer our customers deals that are great value for money.
We are very proud of our mobile broadband offering and to win at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards, yet again, validates our position as market leader.”
Michael Phillips, Broadbandchoices.co.uk product director, added: “Even without the free laptop, 3’s 15GB mobile broadband package is excellent value for money - offering the most data on the market - for just £15 a month on a 24 month contract, with the nearest competitors offering a maximum of 10GB for upwards of around £10 a month more.”
