Eclipse Internet has launched a new range of home broadband packages with speeds of up to 24Mb.

All of Eclipse's (www.Eclipse.net.uk) packages now use BT's (www.BT.com) 21 Century Network which allows speeds of up to 24Mb over an ADSL line, and start from only £7.95 a month.

"These new packages represent excellent value for consumers"

Customers can also take advantage of Eclipse’s free control panel to customise their broadband, allowing them to optimise their online activities and prioritise internet traffic to suit their needs - whether for gaming, peer-to-peer or simple web browsing.

Mark Thomas, head of sales and marketing for Eclipse Internet said: “These new packages represent excellent value for consumers. As well as having access to high speed broadband and the ability to customise the connection, we’ve included additional benefits including everything from free telephone calls to an automated backup service for home computers.

“Consumers can select a package based on their usage requirements, from simple surfing to those wanting to use more bandwidth-hungry applications,” he added.

The new Home Lite package comes with a download speed of up to 24Mb, a 2GB monthly download allowance and costs £7.95 a month for the first three months, £10.95 thereafter.

Home Select has a download limit of 10GB a month, costs £12.95 for the first three months, £15.95 thereafter and comes with a free router, while Home Pro - Eclipse’s top residential broadband package - has a massive 50GB monthly download allowance and costs £22.95 for the first three months, £15.95 thereafter - the perfect package for all your new high-speed downloads. It also comes with a free wireless router.

Set up is free if you choose a 12 month contract but customers not on Eclipse’s local loop unbundled (LLU) network will be charged an additional £3 a month.

Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “With Eclipse’s new super-fast download speeds, customers will have to be even more careful not to exceed their download allowance as each extra GB costs £1.25. Luckily, customers can log into their Eclipse control panel to check how much they’ve used, and will also receive emails warning them when they’ve reached 50 per cent, 75 per cent and 90 per cent of their monthly download allowance.”
