Two new broadband offers have emerged to lure Tiscali customers away from the ISP, which was recently bought by TalkTalk.
BT Broadband (www.BT.com) is offering customers £50 off their bill when they switch broadband provider to one of its Total Broadband packages by 30 June.
BT Total Broadband is available in Option 1, 2 and 3, costing £15.65, £20.54 and £24.46 a month respectively.
Option 1 comes with a 10GB monthly allowance, Option 2 with a 20GB allowance and Option 3 with an 'unlimited' download limit, subject to a fair usage policy.
The offer is only valid for customers signing up using the www.BT.com/TiscaliOffer link and the £50 credit will be applied within 30 days of being claimed.
Plusnet Broadband (www.Plus.net) also announced a new offer for Tiscali Broadband (www.Tiscali.co.uk) switchers. The award winning ISP is offering three months free broadband to customers signing up to one of its packages by 30 June using the TiscaliOffer1 promotion code.
Plusnet offers two standard broadband packages, Value comes with a 10GB monthly download allowance for just £5.99 a month and Unlimited costs from £11.99 a month.
Tiscali was bought by TalkTalk Broadband (www.TalkTalk.co.uk) for £236 million earlier this month.
At the time of the acquisition, TalkTalk assured Tiscali customers that they would benefit from the move, offering cheaper home phone calls and a better broadband network with “higher bandwidth, greater capacity and advanced services”.
Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “Although TalkTalk has assured customers that they will benefit from the deal, anyone looking to switch could save by taking advantage of one of the many deals available to Tiscali customers.
“However, make sure you take all factors into account before signing a new contract,” he advised. “Think about how much your total monthly bill will be once the promotion has expired and the quality of your broadband and cost of home phone calls when comparing ISPs.”
