Cheap broadband provider TalkTalk is set to launch a new, high performance 24Mb broadband package, TalkTalk Pro.
The new tariff offers speeds of up to 24Mb and will be available from this month for £14.99 plus line rental.
TalkTalk Broadband's (www.Talktalk.co.uk) Pro package also comes with “unlimited broadband” downloads, subject to a fair usage policy and a free N router, giving a wider connectivity range.
As well as superfast broadband, the Pro package also offers free anytime UK calls to 01, 02, 03 and 0845 and 0870 numbers as well as cheaper calls to mobile phones.
The package offers massive savings for customers, said TalkTalk, costing between £150 and £300 a year less than comparable deals from competitors BT Broadband (www.BT.com), Sky Broadband (www.Sky.com) and Virgin Media (www.Virginmedia.com).
Tristia Clarke from TalkTalk said: “Once again TalkTalk is challenging the market and providing unbeatable value by offering a premium product at a much lower price than its competitors’ packages.
“So if you're one of the millions of people who now regularly use your broadband to download and upload videos and images or stream media around your house, then our high-performance TalkTalk Pro package, giving you the fastest speed your line can handle, is perfect for you.”
Essentials customers, who get speeds of up to 8Mb and a 40GB download allowance as standard, can still add a Turbo Boost to push their speed up to 24Mb or a Mega Download Boost to double their download allowance to a massive 80GB for just £4 a month each.
Michael Phillips, Broadbandchoices.co.uk product director, said: “While this is not the first time that TalkTalk has offered its customers speeds of up to 24Mb - Essentials customers can get a Boost to push their line as fast as it can go - it is the first TalkTalk package aimed at high-end users, offering fast speeds and ‘unlimited’ downloads without a high-end price tag.”
