Zen Internet (www.Zen.co.uk), O2 broadband (www.O2.co.uk) and BE broadband (www.Bethere.co.uk) have been named as the UK’s top broadband providers by consumer watchdog Which?
Nearly 10,000 members responded to its latest consumer survey, which saw Zen take the top spot once again with a customer satisfaction rating of 89%. Zen has been a Which? Best Buy for the last five years running.
O2 took second place with 80%, followed by BE with a score of 76%.
Overall broadband satisfaction had also increased in the six months since the last survey, going up from 50% to 52%, said Which?
But it wasn’t all good news; two of the country’s biggest broadband providers achieved an overall satisfaction score of less than 40%. Both AOL broadband (www.AOL.co.uk) and Orange broadband (www.Orange.co.uk) scored just one star out of a possible for customer service, with Which? warning consumers away from the providers.
The survey looks at four categories:
It also asks members whether or not they would recommend their provider to a friend.
“Some broadband providers have a terrible reputation with their customers, and if you're tying yourself in to a long contract you want to be sure of a top-notch service,” said Which?
