About Orange Broadband

Orange has around a million broadband customers and as well as its home broadband packages, Orange Broadband offers a wide range of other products, including mobile broadband, home phone deals and contract and pay-as-you-go mobile phones.

The Orange Broadband service

Orange currently offers three home broadband packages - one of which comes free with any mobile phone contract.

It also offers a selection of bundles that can help you save money when you sign up to more than one service from Orange. You can get “free broadband” with an Orange mobile phone contract, or bundle your broadband with a home phone package or a mobile broadband dongle for broadband no matter where you are.

Orange Broadband benefits

Orange Broadband’s range of products means that you can bundle your broadband with up to three other services, and can even take line rental from Orange.

Just like Orange mobile phone customers, the ISP’s broadband users can also take advantage of its Orange Wednesdays offer with 2 for 1 on cinema tickets on Wednesdays.

Orange Broadband awards & accreditations

  • Which? Don’t Buy award 2009 - Orange scored just 31 per cent in the Which? 2009 survey

Our expert’s verdict

Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “Unfortunately Orange Broadband has slipped somewhat, and being named a Which? Don’t Buy is not a good sign.

”If you’re looking for a broadband bundle deal, then Sky Broadband (www.Sky.com) - which was voted the Best Bundled Services ISP in our most recent customer satisfaction survey - is a good choice. As are Virgin Media (www.VirginMedia.com) and TalkTalk Broadband (www.TalkTalk.co.uk), who took second and third place respectively.”
