Virgin Media launched its broadband and digital TV service in February 2007. As a merger of ntl:Telewest and Virgin.net, Virgin Media is today one of the top ISPs in the UK. They offer a 'quadplay' of bundled services including broadband, home phone, digital TV and mobile phone.

This is a broadband 'only' package, you do not have to switch your calls or line rental. Great if you're a light broadband user but still want to surf the internet and download music and movies. You can download a music track in under a minute or a DVD quality movie in around five hours

The main features included with this package are a free wireless router, free security software and you don't need a landline
Monthly Cost£17.00 - Per month for first 6 months, £24 per month thereafter.
Connection Fee£30.00 - A one-off fee to activate your new connection.
Modem/RouterFree - A wireless router is included with no charge for P and P. If you end your contract with Virgin Media you will have to return the hardware
First Year Cost£276.00 - This includes any promotional discounts, router costs and connection fees but does not include monthly line rental
Contract Length12 months - Should you cancel your contract during this period, the remaining balance will be charged to you in one lump sum. However there is a 30 day money back guarantee period
