Ofcom Accreditation Scheme

The BroadbandChoices.co.uk price calculator is one of only two comparison services in the UK that is Ofcom accreditated.

Under its Price Accreditation Scheme, Ofcom awards acreditation to price comparison calculators that have met the terms of a rigorous independent audit. The audit assesses whether sufficient processes are in place to ensure that information provided to consumers is accessible, accurate, transparent, comprehensive and up to date.

The Ofcom scheme also requires that the BroadbandChoices.co.uk comparison information is provided in a format that is easy to use and understand and to provide services both via the telephone or in writing, in addition to online.

Ed Richards, Ofcom Chief Executive said, "Clear and accurate price information on communications services is fundamental to consumer choice. The Price Accreditation scheme will assure consumers that the price comparison calculator they are using is up to date and reliable".
