Finding a partner, shopping for a better deal and managing their money are all things Brits are planning to do on the internet this year.
Brits are planning to step-up their use of the internet to find the best deals this year, with nearly a fifth believing the internet will have a bigger impact on their lives.
A survey of 2,000 people by TalkTalk Broadband (www.Talktalk.co.uk) in January found:
Mark Schmid, marketing director of TalkTalk said: “When you see that the best deals and money saving techniques are online, it emphasises the importance of getting fast broadband to homes, regardless of geography and income.”
Michael Phillips, product director at Broadbandchoices.co.uk, said: “If you’re planning to use the internet to manage your personal affairs, it’s important to check you’re on the best package.
“Many people are still on old, often expensive, legacy contracts. The prices and speeds being offered by companies have radically improved so you should compare broadband packages to check you’re on the best deal in your area.
