T-Mobile has introduced a new range of mobile broadband gift packs, complete with a USB modem stick and three, or 12 months mobile broadband access.
The new pay upfront mobile broadband deals offer potential savings of up to 25 per cent on comparable T-Mobile packages, according to T-Mobile Broadband (www.T-Mobile.co.uk).
The three month pack costs £44.03 for a mobile USB modem stick, and “unlimited broadband” downloads, subject to a 2GB fair usage policy - a saving of 25 per cent.
The 12 month gift pack costs £146.79 for a year’s worth of internet access no matter where you are - a saving of over 20 per cent.
Helen Wylde, head of T-Mobile pay as you go marketing, said: “With Mobile Broadband Gifts, even more people can enjoy T-Mobile’s award-winning mobile broadband service.
“Our new packages are designed to make getting online easier and cheaper for customers, giving them the freedom to email and browse the web whenever they want, as much as they want.
“And with a one-off cost up-front, and our promise of no run-on rates for the person using their unlimited mobile broadband, it’s the perfect present for friends or family.”
T-Mobile is the only mobile broadband provider to offer a fair usage policy with its mobile broadband packages. Rather than immediately charging users for exceeding their download allowance, T-Mobile might restrict how you can use your connection or you could be asked to upgrade to a more generous package.
Michael Phillips, Broadbandchoices.co.uk product director, said: “Pay upfront packages are going to prove popular in the run up to Christmas. Even though T-Mobile doesn’t charge customers for exceeding their download allowance, users should still keep an eye on their download allowances, especially since these pay upfront packs offer a 2GB download allowance, instead of T-Mobile’s usual 3GB allowance for pay monthly users,” he advised.
