New O2 Broadband (www.O2.co.uk) customers can now get three months free when they sign an 18 month contract.
The deal is available on both of O2’s 18 month contracts, which now come with either a 1GB or a 3GB download limit after the ISP ditched its higher 10GB allowances last week.
The 1GB plan usually costs £10 a month while the 3GB tariff costs £15 a month - offering a saving of up to £45 for new mobile broadband customers.
O2 also announced last week that it had dropped the cost of out of bundle data from a massive 20P per MB to just 2.4p per MB, as well as launching new tethering packages for customers who want to use their mobile phone as a dongle.
Michael Phillips, Broadbandchoices.co.uk product director, said: “While O2’s tariffs are similarly priced to other providers, this deal offers significant savings on the price of a new mobile broadband contract.
“O2 has won a host of awards for its customer satisfaction and the ISP also offers great bundles to existing customers - mobile broadband users get unlimited wifi access and can even sign up to the provider’s home broadband for just £5 extra a month,” he added.
“As always, you need to run a postcode check to make sure you'll get adequate mobile broadband coverage where you live, and make sure that you don’t exceed your monthly download allowance as costs can soon add up,” advised Phillips.
