Get three months free 10Mb broadband from Virgin Media when you buy a bundle that includes home phone line rental and free weekend calls.
Virgin Media (www.VirginMedia.com) is tempting new customers with a “three months for free” broadband deal.
The deal offers Virgin Media’s 10Mb broadband – package size L - alongside its M size phone service - which gives you line rental and free local and national weekend calls.
You’ll also get free installation when you buy the bundle online.
The bundle, which is already discounted for the first three months to £5, costs £14 a month thereafter. You will also have to pay £11 a month for Virgin Media’s line rental.
Customers will receive a refund of £15 after the first three months.
Virgin Media came top in Ofcom’s 2009 speed survey of the UK’s nine biggest ISPs, with an average speed of 8.1Mb to 8.7Mb. Its nearest rival was O2 Broadband (www.O2.co.uk) with 4.1Mb to 5.1Mb.
Around 12.6 million households can access the Virgin Media service through a cable network which covers around 50% of the UK.
Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “If you’re looking for fast, stable broadband then Virgin Media is ahead of the pack.
“This bundle is great for people who need that final incentive to switch – offering both a discount on broadband for three months and free installation.
“However, if customers need more from their calls package than just free weekend calls, they should consider building their own bundle, with a different calls package to better suit their needs.”
