Want to really make the most of your broadband? Add Plusnet Pro to your existing package and enjoy a prioritised connection.
Plusnet (www.Plus.net) has offered a dedicated gamers’ tariff for a number of years, giving users a fast, reliable service even at peak times.
And now, for the first time, Plusnet is offering all its customers - from gamers and home workers to anyone simply searching for the best possible connection - the chance to take advantage of its Plusnet Pro priority service with an add-on costing just £5 a month.
While almost all broadband packages are traffic managed at certain times of the day, adding the Plusnet Pro bolt-on to your service means your connection will run at the fastest speeds your line can manage - even at peak times.
Jamie Ford, chief executive of Plusnet, said: “Just like paying a little extra to do a fast check-in at the airport, Plusnet Pro is for users who want to ensure the best possible internet experience.
"With Fibre not yet available in many areas of the country this is the best service accessible to all the market to ensure lower latency and that you get the fastest speeds available to you regardless of when you're online."
He continued: “Prioritising service isn't simply about managing capacity at peak times, it is also about experience.
“All of our products offer a prioritised VoIP [internet phone] service so that facilities such as Skype and FaceTime run smoothly in the home - even when someone else in the house starts web browsing or streaming a TV show. As a Pro customer you will get this further prioritisation benefit when gaming or when using a VPN [Virtual Private Network].”
Plusnet says that its Pro add-on “maintains a reliable and stable connection at full speed across the entire day”. Other advantages include lower latency, “so no matter how busy the network gets there will be no slowdown to their service”.
This especially benefits online gamers and home office users, says the provider.
The new Plusnet Pro bolt-on can be added to either the Value package or the high-end Extra service.
Value customers get a 10GB monthly download allowance while those signed up to the Extra package get 60GB - though both services come with free overnight downloads between midnight and 8am.
Both packages also come with speeds of up to 20Mb broadband.

If you're looking for even faster broadband speeds, you should also check out Plusnet Fibre, which uses the BT network to offer speeds of up to 40Mb broadband.
The provider is offering the UK’s “best value” fibre packages, starting from just £16.49 a month, plus line rental. It comes with uploads of up to 2Mb and a choice of either a 40GB or a massive 120GB download allowance.
The Plusnet Pro bolt-on can also be added to either of the Plusnet Fibre packages for a superfast prioritised service.
