About Plusnet Broadband

Plusnet started out in 1997 offering dial-up at speeds of just 56Kb, and has grown to provide broadband to more than 200,000 customers and offer bundled packages including home phone, line rental and VoIP internet telephone calls.

Plusnet currently offers one of the UK’s cheapest standalone broadband packages, but it isn't just about cheap broadband. Plusnet also offers a high-end package and a range of home phone bundles.

The Plusnet Broadband service

Plusnet (www.Plus.net) offers two standard home broadband packages; Value and Extra. Its Value package comes with speeds of up to 16Mb broadband, a 10GB download allowance and free overnight downloads between midnight and 8am, while Plusnet Extra comes with up to 16Mb broadband, a 60GB download allowance and free overnight downloads.

Plusnet also offers a package designed specifically for gamers or for anyone working from home. It offers prioritised traffic, low latency and a reliable connection, with access to Plusnet’s own gaming servers. Plusnet Pro comes with speeds of up to 16Mb, a 20GB download allowance, and as with all Plusnet packages, free overnight downloads.

Plusnet Broadband benefits

Over the years Plusnet has won a host of awards for its fast, reliable service and high standards of customer satisfaction, making it one of the most popular small ISPs.

Plusnet also offers the cheapest standalone broadband package on the market, and although it comes with a set 10GB monthly download allowance, it is a great offer for anyone on a tight budget - and you can always do your downloading at night when it won’t come out of your monthly allowance.

If you don't want to be tied into a 12-month contract, Plusnet offers a flexible deal that allows you to get online on a rolling one-month contract. You will have to pay a fee to activate your service, but once you're connected you'll be able to cancel your connection whenever you need to - with just 10 day's notice. You can either use your own equipment, or pay for a wired, or a wireless router, from Plusnet.
