You can buy a data card from your mobile phone supplier (Mobile Broadband Guide) - all the major networks do them - and use it to connect via the local mobile phone network as you travel. (www.vodafone.co.uk / www.three.co.uk / www.t-mobile.co.uk)

Prices start from around £10 a month, though you will have to roaming fees on your surfing although be warned these fees are excessive - one user was charged over £10,000 for downloading an episode of "Friends" while overseas.

However, don’t rule out internet cafés; you should look at the amount of time you expect to be online, and what this will cost as it might be cheaper to stop off and use an internet café for an hour or so every few days.
