Background - Orange (www.Orange.co.uk) branched out into the convergence market in 2006 with the launch of their “free” broadband for Orange mobile customers. Customers now offer broadband and phone "bundles" so that you only pay one bill for your broadband, calls and line rental.
Awards - Orange was a finalist in the categories of “Best Dial-up” and “Best Consumer ISP” at the 2007 Internet Service Provider Awards (ISPAs).
Orange was in the Epitiro (a UK Customer Experience Management [CEM] provider for internet access services) top five broadband providers in the fourth quarter of 2006.
Suitability - People who are already orange mobile customers (spending a certain amount each month) will be able to take advantage of their “free” broadband offer.
Our verdict - While they have been noted as a good supplier at the ISPAs and by Epitiro, and are a known name in telecommunications provider, we have had a some customer reviews complaining about the service. Always do your research, weighing up the pros and cons, before signing up to any product.
