The easiest way for your daughter and her flatmates to all connect to the internet at the same time is via a wireless router. Many ISPs will provide one for free when you sign up, and they are very easy to install. Providers who offer free wireless routers include AOL, Eclipse and Madasafish . But you can search for others on our homepage.
An up to 8Mb service should be fine, as long as they’re browsing and using email rather than all downloading movies, music and other large files at the same time.
They will also need to make sure that they have set up security on the router (a password in the form of a WEP or WPA key) so that other people won’t be able to log on and use their connection as this will slow it down.
