Plusnet is now offering a free
wireless router on all packages

Free wireless router with Plusnet

Garnet Roach garnet@consumerchoices.co.uk

Customers signing up to Plusnet by 1 November will now receive a free wireless router (23-10-08).

The 4-port wireless broadband router would normally cost £29.99 for customers on the Broadband Your Way Option One package, but if they sign up to a 12 month contract before 1 November they will get it for free.

"Being online is so much a part of everyday life"

Broadband Your Way Option One costs £9.99 a month and comes with download speeds of up to 8Mb, a 2GB monthly download allowance with free overnight downloads and free activation on a 12 month contract.

Neil Armstrong, Plusnet Broadband (www.Plus.net) products and marketing director, noted how wireless broadband had become so important today. “Being online is so much a part of everyday life that people want their surfing habits to fit in with their daily routine rather than the other way around,” he said.

“We’ve found that 85 per cent of broadband users access the net through a wireless connection. This reflects the growing need for flexible surfing. This deal is one of a number Plusnet has made to retain its position as an award-winning, value-for-money internet service provider,” continued Armstrong.

Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “Wireless broadband is a great way to get online, but make sure that you have assigned suitable security settings to ensure that your network is secure and that no one can ‘piggy-back’ your connection, using up your precious download allowance.”
