Virgin Broadband no BT line
Question: Is it true that Virgin Media gives you broadband with no BT line? I'm thinking cancelling my BT landline, but don't want to go ahead unless I'm 100% sure.

Broadband with no line rental
Virgin Media's (www.VirginMedia.com) fibre optic network means their broadband isn't tied to the phone network. So if you just want broadband on its own, Virgin Media can give you just that. Virgin broadband-only packages are available across a range of speeds, from 10Mb to 50Mb, and come with unlimited downloads.
Other providers, such as BT, TalkTalk and Plusnet deliver their broadband through copper telephone wire, which means your connection speeds gets slower the further you live from the phone exchange. However, with fibre optic (cable) broadband, your download speeds aren't affected by how far you are from the exchange.
