Sky Sports channels

Sky’s premium sports channels, Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2, offer football fans the chance to watch all the action from the Barclays Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.

And there are plenty of other great sporting fixtures and events shown on Sky Sports for those who don’t follow the football, including Rugby League and Rugby Union, PGA and European tour golf, darts, ice hockey, cricket, Formula 1 and a variety of other motor sports. For more information, please call Sky on 0844 241 1407.

Originally, the Sky Sports channels were only available through a satellite TV subscription, but now you don’t have to be a Sky customer to watch your favourite sports. Virgin Media (www.VirginMedia.com) and BT Vision (www.BT.com/vision) also offer some great deals, bundling your broadband and home phone with your TV package.

Sky Sports on BT Vision

BT Vision (www.BT.com/vision), the internet TV service from telecoms giant BT, now offers the cheapest way to watch all the action of the Premier League.

If you’re a BT broadband customer, you can sign-up for a triple-play bundle, adding a BT Vision package to your bundle from just £4 extra a month. You can then get either Sky Sports 1 or 2 individually from just £12.90 a month, or pay from £18.20 a month for both, when you sign a 12-month contract. If you sign-up for the TV Unlimited package you will also get ESPN and Vision Sports - BT Vision's on-demand sports service - at no extra cost.

Remember, if you want to watch every televised Premier League match, you will need ESPN as 23 of the live games will be shown on the channel, with the rest being shown on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2.

Sky Sports on Virgin Media

Following regulator Ofcom’s ruling in 2011 that Sky must cut the price it charges rival providers to access its premium sports channels, cable customers with Virgin Media (www.VirginMedia.com) can now add the Sky Sports Collection to their TV package from £22.50 extra a month.

The Sky Sports collection includes Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Sky Sports F1 but not ESPN.

Sky Sports 1 or 2 can also be bought separately from £14.50 a month each. ESPN is available for an additional £8 a month for Size: M+ and L TV subscribers, or is free in the Size: XL TV package.

For more information on getting Sky Sports on Virgin Media please call 0808 189 0514.

Sky Sports on Sky

Sky (www.Sky.com) has been at the forefront of sports broadcasting since 1992, offering a whole host of sports on its four dedicated sports channels, Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4, Sky Sports News and Sky Sports F1.

Super sports fans with Sky can add the Sports Pack with all six channels for £20 a month. ESPN can be added for a total of £29. You’ll also be able to watch Sky Sports News, and if you have a subscription to the Sky Player, you’ll be able to watch Sky Sports on any computer.
