TalkTalk offers free connection

Broadband and home phone customers signing up to TalkTalk (www.Talktalk.co.uk) can save themselves nearly £30 on their connection fee.

For a limited time, customers signing up to either its Essentials or Pro packages will not have to pay for their connection, which usually costs £29.99.

TalkTalk’s Essentials package offers cheap broadband, costing just £6.49 a month for an up to 24Mb broadband connection and a generous 40GB download allowance. It also comes with inclusive evening and weekend calls and the option to add Boosts, from just £2 a month, if you want anytime calls, PC security or a higher download allowance.

Its high-end Pro package also comes with 24Mb speeds but offers an “unlimited broadband” download allowance, subject to a fair usage policy. For the monthly price of £14.99, you also get inclusive anytime calls, free calls to 36 international destinations and even cheaper calls to mobile phones.

Michael Phillips, Broadbandchoices.co.uk product director, said: “TalkTalk offers some of the cheapest broadband on the market, without compromising on speed or download allowance.

“But you should always compare broadband providers before switching,” he advised, “as new deals come out all the time. For example, Plusnet (www.Plus.net) is currently offering a £2 monthly discount on its Value package, bringing the cost down to as little as £4.49 a month when you sign up through Broadbandchoices.co.uk. Customers looking for a high-end package can get a £2.50 discount on its Extra package, offering 20Mb broadband and a 60GB allowance from just £8.99 a month.”
