Tesco Broadband (www.Tesco.net) has boosted its broadband speeds to 20Mb while slashing prices to as little as £8 a month
The supermarket giant revamped its outdated packages, replacing them with two broadband and home phone bundles that come with 20Mb broadband speeds and “unlimited broadband” downloads, subject to a fair usage policy.
The broadband element of each package is the same, and you can choose from either evening and weekend calls or inclusive anytime landline calls for a total of either £8 or £12 a month. The bundles are available when you take Tesco line rental at £11 a month on an 18 month contract.
Its line rental is cheaper than BT Broadband (www.BT.com) and gives you a total cost of just £19 a month for 20Mb broadband, evening and weekend calls and line rental, or £23 a month for broadband, anytime calls and line rental.
Clubcard users can even earn points when they sign up to Tesco Broadband, offering 1,500 points when you sign up and a further point for every £1 you spend on your bill.
Michael Phillips, Broadbandchoices.co.uk product director, said: “Tesco’s revamped bundles are going to make it a real competitor in the broadband market, offering fast speeds and ‘unlimited’ downloads with great value for money and UK-based customer service, all from a trusted name brand.”
