The Virgin Rebirth

The Virgin Rebirth

(18-11-06) - The unveiling of their new logo marks a major step on the road to ntl:Telewest’s reincarnation as Virgin Media, whose launch is due early next year.

Almost 3 million customers are set to benefit from the move in the first quarter of 2007, with many more likely to sign up in the months after the launch.

Chris Eagle, BroadbandChoices Commercial Manager said “This is an exciting development for the UK, offering genuine competition for Talk Talk and BT. Virgin Media will breathe fresh air into the telecommunications market, which has been dogged by a reputation for poor customer service.”

The move will give customers the chance to bundle their broadband, digital television, landline and mobile phone, with their unique “quadplay” of four products for £40.

Steve Burch, ntl CEO said: “Virgin Media will bring the Virgin traditions of value-for-money, brilliant customer service and innovation to the world of entertainment and communications”.
