(11-01-07) - At Home With Vodafone Broadband - Vodafone has made its bid for a slice of the lucrative UK broadband pie, with its new “At Home” deal for Vodafone mobile customers.
The package, which will cost £25 a month for those with a Vodafone contract (£35 otherwise), offers customers up to 8Mb broadband and a home phone line – without having to pay any extra to anyone else for the line rental.
Calls made from a landline with the At Home package are free to UK local and national landlines and calls to UK mobiles are 25 per cent less than BT’s standard rate.
But with hundreds of packages available, the UK broadband market is one of the country’s most competitive, with each new offer vying for your custom – and Vodafone is just the latest company to offer a low-cost bundle of services. For more information on broadband bundles
However, Chris Eagle, BroadbandChoices Commercial Manager, warned: “2007 is going to see an increasing number of big players in the communications market attempting to own the entire communication and media spend in UK households.
“Customers should think carefully before committing to a contract that covers mobile and home phones, TV and broadband. Packages may offer great rates for mobile calls but other parts of the package may be less competive.”
