Be Broadband to offer home IT support

Be has joined forces with Geeks-on-Wheels to provide customers with home IT support, the ISP announced today.
While customers will have to pay for the service, Be Broadband (www.BeThere.co.uk) members will get a 15 per cent discount to help solve any IT problems from clearing PCs of viruses or spyware, data recovery for hard disk crashes, to hardware and software configuration.
Geeks-on-Wheels call out rates in London will be £63.75 for the first hour and then £31.88 per thirty minutes thereafter. For Sussex, Surrey and Kent areas, support will costs £55.25 for the first hour and then £25.50 for every half hour.

New Geeks-on-Wheels customers can also get two months free broadband and no connection fee on 12 month contracts from Be, saving them up to £43.

Be was one of the first broadband providers to offer ADSL2+ technology to give customers speeds of up to 24Mb. It offers three broadband packages, starting at £13.50 a month for an up to 8Mb connection and going up to £17.50 and £21.50 a month for its 24Mb packages.
