Zen has been “plugging businesses and homes into the internet since 1995” when it launched with only a handful of staff, growing over the years to workforce of over 350.
Unlike many competitors, Zen’s customer service and technical support teams don’t use or read from scripts - they “really know their stuff” - one of the reasons why the ISP has won so many awards over the years.
Zen (www.Zen.co.uk) offers a selection of home, business or home office packages, and prides itself on its dedication to reliability and customer service.
Its offers three home broadband tariffs - Zen 8000 Lite, Zen 8000 Active and Zen 8000 Pro. The download speed you will get depends on whether your local exchange has been enabled to ADSL2+ - in which case you will get up to 20Mb, and if not, you will get up to 8Mb.
Zen’s packages all come on a rolling one month contract and offer set download allowances of 10GB, 50GB and a generous 100GB a month, and you can buy additional data if needed. You also get unlimited uploads with all packages.
The same three packages, excluding VAT are available to small business and home office customers, while five medium and large business packages are also available as well as three SDSL plans.
Zen also offers a superfast broadband service with download speeds of up to 40Mb or up to 100Mb. Its five up to 40Mb packages - Fibre Lite, Fibre Active, Fibre Pro, Fibre Office and Fibre Office Plus, offer a download usage allowance of between 10GB for Fibre Lite, up to a massive 500GB for Fibre Office Plus.
Its two up to 100Mb packages - Fibre Enterprise and Fibre Enterprise Plus, offer up to 15Mb and 30Mb upload speeds respectively. Both packages come with a 500GB download usage allowance.
The fibre packages are also on a 12 month contract
Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “Although Zen (www.Zen.co.uk) isn’t one of the cheapest broadband providers on the market, it has consistently won awards for its reliable connections and excellent standard of customer service.
“The ISP now offers fibre packages up to 100Mb, adding even more appeal to its packages.”
