Three's Ready-to-go kits give you a mobile broadband dongle pre-loaded with data. Dongles comes with two different data allowances: 3GB for light users, and up to 12GB for heavy users. The price you pay upfront covers both the dongle and the data allowance. And if you run out of the data, you can top up in exactly the same way as you would do under a PAYG plan.
The simple answer is: it depends. Under a standard Pay-as-you-go plan, data allowances are valid for just 30 days. Three's Ready-to-go kits come with extended validity periods: your download allowance is valid up to 3 months on the 3GB kit and up to 12 months on the 12GB kit. If you expect to make a light use of your connection over several months, a Ready-to-go kit may be better value than a standard PAYG dongle. Visit www.Three.co.uk/Ready-to-go to find out more.
If you need to use mobile broadband over an extended period of time, you may also consider signing-up to a contact. Mobile broadband contracts now come in different shapes and flavours, from flexible one-month contracts to 12-month, 18-month and even 24-month contracts.
