"The tool is a fabulous little bit of software and i am really surprised that it isn't more widely known about or even built into browsers, routers and windows itself, especially given the big problem here in the UK at the moment with ISPs and their download caps and fair usage controls (which is why i was desperate to find an easy to use tool after being clobbered by BT for exceeding my 50Gb limit)"

Mark Marsay, Great Northern Publishing, Scarborough

"The software is great I didn't know I was using so much download usage until I uploaded your software, I keep it at the bottom right of my icon box and check it daily, I was surprised when BT emailed me to say I used 23GB last month, but having your software shows me how much I was using before."

"After receiving the email from BT I looked in a lot of forums for a program that would tell me how must downloads I was using and no one could help, I found your site by typing different things into Google, I will gladly sign up for your affiliate program and inform others about how good your software is."

John Edgar, BT user

"I have used the program for three days now. Great, very useful so easy to download and use, and best of all FREE. Thank you very much"

Gerald King

“Measuring the megabyte usage is what really attracted me to the product. It is clean and easy to use. I'm currently looking to upgrade my broadband to a higher connection so knowing how much I am using is really helpful especially as I am new to broadband so was unaware of how much I was downloading.”

Zaheer Aslam

“I like the simplicity of the software and ease of use; its ability to customize the download limit whether it is daily, monthly or yearly you want to monitor.”

Chris Rodd

“The software is very good; accurate and extremely user friendly”

Elliot Sam Collison

“I find the Broadband Download Monitor VERY useful as I can monitor our download traffic to make sure we do not go over our limit. A very user friendly piece of software; it is quick and easy to download and install… highly recommendable. “

Justin Bray

“The software is easy to set up and you can personalise the download limit to meet your needs.”

Russell Fear

“Very simple and straight forward to download and install; the software options are extremely easy to understand and I especially like the graphic showing download amount.”

Jackie Murphy

"I really like the software as it allows me to monitor my total transfers per month - something that my carrier will not do for me!"

Grant Donelly

"This is the first download monitor I came across that seemed worth using. I like the software as it isn’t loud, just stays in the system tray and tells you what you want to know. It has a small memory footprint and doesn’t come up with any annoying messages."

Paul Jones

“Being able to monitor how much I am downloading is important as I have a download limit to adhere to. I like the software as it’s easy to use and it runs perfectly in my systems tray.”

Muhammad Hamzah

It is a useful download monitor. I would suggest a small improvement. It would be convenient if there were an automatic reset to zero of the download at the end of the specified monitor period (day, week, month etc), with the result logged to a file.

Hi, I am a student at Imperial College London and I just downloaded the software after being blocked for excess bandwidth usage at my university. I feel that this software would work great but the only problem I have is that my university monitors usage and regulates over a ROLLING 24 HOUR PERIOD. So, it would have been really helpful if the software was able to monitor usage this way.
Thank You!

The monitor works fine, but most ISP's have a download limit, and no upload limit. So the fact that the BDM counts net traffic in both directions seriously restricts its value. - Sep 24 2010 8:17AM
