About Zen Broadband

Zen has been “plugging businesses and homes into the internet since 1995” when it launched with only a handful of staff, growing over the years to workforce of over 350.

Unlike many competitors, Zen’s customer service and technical support teams don’t use or read from scripts - they “really know their stuff” - one of the reasons why the ISP has won so many awards over the years.

The Zen Broadband service

Zen offers a selection of home, business or home office packages, and prides itself on its dedication to reliability and customer service.

Its three home broadband tariffs - Zen 8000 Lite, Zen 8000 Active and Zen 8000 Pro - all of which come with speeds of up to 8Mb, and a set download limit on a rolling one month contract, with a £46 connection fee if you're totally new to broadband and not migrating from another provider.

Zen’s packages all come with speeds of up to 20Mb and set download allowances at 5GB, 25GB and a generous 50GB a month, and you can buy additional data if needed.

The same three packages, excluding VAT are available to small business and home office customers, while five medium and large business packages are also available as well as three SDSL plans.

Our expert’s verdict

Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “Although Zen isn’t one of the cheapest, or the fastest, broadband providers on the market, it has consistently won awards for its reliable connections and excellent standard of customer service.

“The ISP is also currently upgrading customers to speeds of up to 20Mb, adding even more appeal to its packages.”
