Free Asus Eee laptops from Orange

Orange is the only provider in the UK to offer an Asus Eee laptop with mobile broadband. The ultra-portable Asus Eee 1000 GO weighs just 1.45kg and comes with built-in mobile broadband - so you don’t even have to use a USB modem stick.

The netbook has a 10.1 inch screen - making it small enough to fit in your bag, a 160GB hard drive, Windows 7, a built-in webcam and has an impressive battery life of up to six hours. It also comes with a two year warranty.

Orange’s mobile broadband laptop deals come with a range of monthly download allowances; 1GB, 3GB or 5GB and the Asus Eee is available on either an 18 or 24 month contract. Plus there’s no need for a USB modem since the laptop has built-in mobile broadband connectivity.

Other Orange mobile broadband laptop deals

In addition to the exclusive Asus Eee, Orange also offers a Compaq Mini 110, which has a 10.1 inch screen, a 160GB hard drive and a built-in webcam, and weighs in at just 1.2kg as well as the online-only Samsung N310. The 1.23kg netbook has an innovative design as well as a 10.1 inch screen, built-in webcam and a 160GB hard drive.

In addition to its netbooks, Orange has a full-sized laptop on offer - the 15.4 inch Toshiba L300, which comes with a 160GB hard drive and a DVD player.

Benefits of Orange mobile broadband

Orange mobile broadband allows you to take the internet with you wherever you go. As long as you’ve got an Orange mobile signal you’ll be able to get online with speeds of up to 3.6Mb - so you can check your emails, book tickets and even do your online banking on the go.

And if your download allowance is enough for all your surfing needs, you could even ditch your home phone line rental completely - saving yourself up to £135 a year.

Although Orange’s mobile broadband network is one of the UK’s most extensive, connections can be patchy in some - mostly rural - areas, so you should always do an online postcode check before signing up.

You will also need to keep an eye on your downloads to make sure that you don’t exceed your limit. Although Orange offers some of the cheapest out of bundle data prices on the market, costs can still add up.

If you think that you’re going to go over your monthly limit, you can simply buy a rolling data bundle. Costs start at just £5 for 1GB - far less than most other providers.

Install our free Broadband Download Monitor or check your Orange mobile broadband online account to keep track of your downloads.
