O2 mobile broadband (www.O2.co.uk) has launched a “market leading” deal, offering 500MB of data for just £5 a month.
As well as offering low-cost mobile broadband, customers signing up to the new package will be able to get online without having to sign a long contract.
O2’s deal comes with a 500MB monthly download allowance, plus “unlimited” access to thousands of wireless hotspots from The Cloud and BT Openzone - allowing you to save on your precious 3G data.
You will have to pay £19.99 for your dongle, and excess usage is charged at 2.4p per MB. The package is subject to a rolling 30-day contract.
Vishal Khakhar, O2 head of home and broadband marketing, said: “We know that customers want to access the internet more and more and also are looking for shorter contracts. By offering this market leading 30-day rolling contract we are giving customers flexibility without having to top up on pay and go.”
The provider also recently launched two new pay-as-you-go mobile broadband starter kits that come pre-loaded with either a 2GB or 3GB download allowance. Data in the starter kits expires after either one or three months depending on your package.
Khakhar added: “We know a lot of customers would like shorter contracts and want complete freedom to buy data access whenever they need it. Our new mobile broadband starter kits are the perfect way to enjoy internet access when you need it and top-up when your allowance runs out.”
