At the moment, 3 sim-only mobile broadband can only be used with a 3 mobile USB modem stick.

Better value deals

3’s current sim-only mobile broadband deal offer 5GB a month for £15 - the same amount of data that 18 month mobile broadband contract users get without the long contract.

For the same monthly cost, pay as you go users only get 3GB. So by switching to a sim-only deal, customers are getting themselves an extra 2GB a month - and keeping the option to cancel with just 30 days notice.

Suitability

Sim-only mobile broadband deals suit users who already own a dongle - either an out-of-use modem or a pay as you go dongle they want to switch to a contract.
