Below are the results for February's Ultimate Speed League Table's for up to 2Mb and up to 8Mb broadband providers!

Using the results from our free speed tester, we have calculated the average speed of each provider so you can see who's topped the speed league this month


Medium Broadband

This table compares broadband suppliers with medium broadband packages of up to 8Mb.

These tables use data collected from February 2009, and use data only from providers who have done 1000 or more tests over the month. None of the results have been deleted, adapted or manipulated – these tables display honest results and allow you to see the truth behind your ISP’s claims.

You are listing My ISP as top of the charts.
Can I point out that Karoo are upto 24mb not 8mb

Based on this Your numberr 10 slot BT are reaching only 30% of their advertised speeds, on the same note Karoo are only really reaching 18% of their advertised rates. Maybe if companies like your own would state the facts then ISP's would be forced to improve their services. - Mar 30 2009 11:04AM

The above table just shows how the Broadband companies are conning us, even the best is only a little over 50% of what it should be. I notice on the BT website it tells me that at my address I should be able to get speeds of 7mb which I have never revceived and this is meant to give advice to new subscribers of the service they can expect, then they sign up and receive less than 1mb. What can we as consumers do as it seems that all providers fail miserably. The engineer who installed my new broadband here said that BT were working on test of upto 100mb. Most of us I'm sure would be happy with at least what we are meant to get from them and perhaps a little faster download speeds most of us surely do not need 100mb for domestic use. Perhaps they should be working on sorting out the local networks. - Mar 9 2009 1:53PM
