TalkTalk offers free modems with broadband service
(29-05-07) - TalkTalk, the home phone and broadband arm of Carphone Warehouse, launched a free modem offer for new broadband customers, effective from today. (visit www.talktalk.co.uk)
Customers signing up to either Talk3 with broadband or Talk3 International with broadband will receive either a free modem (normally £29.99) or a half-price wireless router (at £24.99 rather than the usual £49.99).
The offer is available to new customers until June 30th 2007.
The Talk3 package comes with free broadband access at up to 8Mbps (depending on the connection speed your phone line can receive), and a 40Gb monthly download allowance. For a monthly subscription and line rental charge, Talk3 customers also receive unlimited local and national phone calls.
Talk3 International is slightly more expensive than Talk3 after the first three months, but also includes broadband at up to 8Mbps for no extra cost. The download allowance is the same, but subscribers also get unlimited calls to landline phone numbers in 30 mainland countries worldwide.
