Cable provider Virgin Media is offering new customers two months free TV, home phone and broadband this Christmas.
Customers who sign up to Virgin Media's (www.VirginMedia.com) Have Christmas On Us triple play offer before 30 November will receive the service for free for two months.
The package includes Broadband L with speeds of up to 10Mb and “unlimited” downloads with a fair usage policy, TV XL with more than 145 television channels and free Setanta Sports, and Phone M with line rental - and will save customers £88 over the two months.
The package will cost £33 a month thereafter plus £11 a month line rental and customers can also add a V+ HD box into the bundle for £75 - half the usual cost.
Customers wanting even faster broadband or more inclusive telephone calls can upgrade to the Broadband XL at speeds of up to 20Mb or the Phone XL with anytime calls and still qualify for an £88 saving over Christmas, the provider said.
However, Virgin Media is no longer offering free wireless broadband routers. All Broadband M customers must pay £40 for their router, while customers on the L and XL packages must now pay a £7.50 handling charge.
Michael Phillips, BroadbandChoices.co.uk product director, said: “Belts will no doubt have been tightened this Christmas so this is a great way to get connected to super-fast broadband and a load of digital TV channels to keep the kids - and yourself - entertained. Just make sure that you can still afford the total £44 a month afterwards.”
