Leaks indicate we can look forward to four new iPhone variants in 2020, which differ primarily by dint of the size of their screens and the number of cameras they're equipped with.
The iPhone Pro is one of the higher-end models and sits just behind the top-of-the-range iPhone 12 Pro Max. Here's a full run-down of the iPhone 12 variants we're expecting:
- iPhone 12 (5.4")
- iPhone 12 Max (6.1")
- iPhone 12 Pro (6.1")
- iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7")
When will the iPhone 12 Pro be on sale?
Last month, Apple confirmed that this year's iPhones will be launched a few weeks later than usual. So where they're normally unveiled in early to mid-September, this year we're most likely looking at early to mid October.
Apple is thereafter expected to stagger the on-sale date of the iPhone 12 range, with the lower-end iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max due to be available to buy in stores ten days after the big launch event.
If it's the iPhone 12 Pro that you're sold on, the bad news is that that particular model, as well as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, may not go on sale for a weeks after the cheaper variants. So you could face a lengthy wait to get your hands on it.
How much will the iPhone 12 Pro cost?
We don't know for sure yet, but reports suggest you prices will be:
- iPhone 12 Pro, 128GB: £1,049
- iPhone 12 Pro, 256GB: £1,149
What features and specs will the iPhone 12 Pro have?
- 6.1-inch OLED screen with smaller notch
- New design with more rounded edges
- Triple lens camera with 3D lens
- 5G connectivity
- improved telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom
