Apple has confirmed that the 2020 range of iPhones will be unveiled a few weeks later than normal. So you can rule out a launch event in its usual early-mid September slot and should probably pencil one in for early October instead.
Rumours suggest that Apple will then stagger the on-sale dates of the four new iPhone 12 variants. The standard iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max are coming to market first and are likely to be available to buy ten days after the big launch.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are purportedly not due to go on sale for some weeks thereafter. Which means if they're the models you want, you may be waiting some time to get them.
How much will the iPhone 12 Pro Max cost?
Putative price points for the iPhone 12 Max are...
- iPhone 12 Pro Max, 128GB: £1,149
- iPhone 12 Pro Max, 256GB: £1,249
- iPhone 12 Pro Max, 512GB: £1,449
What are the key features of the iPhone 12 Pro Max?
The biggest and best of the 2020 iPhones, the Pro Max's spec sheet apparently includes:
- 6.7-inch OLED screen
- 5G support
- Triple lens camera with 3D lens
- Telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom
- Subtle new design
