New channel ITVBe coming soon - what can you watch on launch night?

ITV’s about to launch ITVB - a new free channel devoted to entertainment and lifestyle shows like The Only Way Is Essex. But what else can you look forward to watching when it goes live?

ITV's launching a new channel called ITVBe on 8 October, and now we know what you'll be able to watch on it.

ITVBe's launch night will kick off with Welcome to ITVBe, a one-off showbiz bash that's described as a 'celebration of everything on the new channel'.

Presented by the crack team of Peter Andre and Jamelia, the two-hour special will include interviews with celebrities and the cast of upcoming shows, including The Only Way is Essex and The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

There will also be previews of upcoming shows, including Celebrity Dinner Date with Joe Swash - that's right, EastEnders' Mickey Miller himself. Trying to find love. Based on menus. Riiight.

After that, comes a special episode of the channel's flagship show The Only Way is Essex, which is moving to a new home on ITVBe. The special, The Only Way is Ibiza, sends the cast off to… well, Ibiza, where no doubt all sorts of shenanigans will ensue.

But TOWIE's not just gaining a new home, it's also gaining a sister show. Live from the Sugar Hut will be presented by famous Essex residents Denice Van Outen and Mark Wright, take viewers behind the scenes in Ibiza and feature interviews with the cast and insight from celebrities and super-fans of the show.

Social media will play a big role too - viewers will be encouraged to tweet their thoughts on the Ibiza special and pose questions for the cast and crew.

As well as the launch line-up, ITV's announced the celebrity couples who will be starring in new series Seven Days With…

As the name implies, the show spends a week following the lives of the famous duos. Confirmed as appearing are Tamara Ecclestone and Jay Rutland, Brian and Vogue McFadden, Natasha Hamilton and Ritchie Neville, Jennifer Ellison and Rob Tickle, Ray and Emma Quinn and JB and Chloe Gill.

ITVBe will be free-to-air, which means it'll be on Freeview. Naturally you'll be able to tune in on BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media TV too, as well as via ITV Player.
