Virgin Media has slashed the price of many of its superfast 'Big' broadband bundles. Customers can now access speeds up to 152Mb and hundreds of TV channels for just £33 a month during the first year of a contract.
Virgin's Big Kahuna bundle is the provider's top tier package and includes speeds that are "12 times faster than regular broadband" plus 230 TV channels via the popular TiVo set-top box. Also included are unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines and Virgin Mobile numbers.
All that used to cost £39 per a month for the first year, but it's now be reduced to £33 - a saving of £72 - with the price returning to £49 during the final 6 months of the 18-month contract. Customers can also add a mobile SIM from £5 a month.
The Big Kahuna package is suited to sports fans as it features the XL TV package, which includes 16 Sky Sports channels and BT Sport. According to tech website ISPreview.co.uk, both deals are now live and are set to be available until the middle of March.
The Big Connection bundle is also getting a price drop. The entry level package includes download speeds up to 50Mb and unlimited weekend calls for just £8.75 a month. Both bundles include free setup and a SuperHub Router with a £16.99 a month rental fee.
