Virgin Media cuts price of superfast broadband bundles

Virgin Media has slashed the price of many of its superfast 'Big' broadband bundles. Customers can now access speeds up to 152Mb and hundreds of TV channels for just £33 a month during the first year of a contract.

Virgin's Big Kahuna bundle is the provider's top tier packageand includes speeds that are "12 times faster than regularbroadband" plus 230 TV channels via the popular TiVo set-top box.Also included are unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines andVirgin Mobile numbers.

All that used to cost £39 per a month for the first year, butit's now be reduced to £33 - a saving of £72 - with the pricereturning to £49 during the final 6 months of the 18-monthcontract. Customers can also add a mobile SIM from £5 a month.

The Big Kahuna package is suited to sports fans as it featuresthe XL TV package, which includes 16 Sky Sports channels and BTSport. According to tech website ISPreview.co.uk, both deals arenow live and are set to be available until the middle of March.

The Big Connection bundle is also getting a price drop. Theentry level package includes download speeds up to 50Mb andunlimited weekend calls for just £8.75 a month. Both bundlesinclude free setup and a SuperHub Router with a £16.99 a monthrental fee.
