Adrian Lester, Iwan Rheon, Julia Stiles to star in new Sky drama

Sky has confirmed the full cast of its upcoming drama Riviera, and boy is it star-studded. Already-confirmed star of the show Julia Stiles is set to be joined by Adrian Lester, Iwan Rheon, Lena Olin, and more.

Riviera is a "pan European" drama set in the South of France. American mid-westerner Georgina (Stiles) lives there as the wife of billionaire Constantine Clios, but finds her life torn apart when her husband is killed, and investigating his death uncovers a few dark truths.

Lester (London Spy, Hustle) will play Georgina's art dealer pal; Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) and Dimitri Leonidas (Sinbad) play her stepsons, Constantine's kids; Lena Olin (Chocolat) is Constantine's ex-wife; and we'll see appearances from Roxanne Duran (White Ribbon) and Phil Davis (Poldark, Sherlock) too.

"I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Riviera," Lena Olin commented. "Irina is a wonderful role that I can't wait to bring to life and it's so exciting be part of a series anchored by two strong female characters."

Adrian Lester said he's excited too, and commented that the "cast and crew are top notch" - and he's not wrong. The series itself is created by Oscar winner Neil Jordan, aka the director of The Borgias, The Crying Game, and Interview with the Vampire, and it's written by Booker Prize winner John Banville.

Riviera will air on Sky Atlantic in 2017. Find Sky Atlantic on Sky TV channel 108, Sky Go, or via a Now TV Entertainment Pass.
