BT Sport is shaking up its Saturday TV schedule ahead of the start on the new Premier League season. New additions include a new football results show to sit before Saturday night’s live match coverage.
The new show, BT Sport Score, will air at 2.30pm from Saturday 13 August on BT Sport 1. It will report on all the matches taking place across the UK, as well as key games in Europe, including the Women's Super League (WSL).
It will be hosted by Mark Pougatch, with extra punditry provided by former England International Jermaine Jenas, former Leeds United and Liverpool star, and current Watford U21 coach Harry Kewell, and BT Sport mainstays Robbie Savage, Harry Redknapp, David James and Howard Webb.
After BT Sport Score, at around 5pm on Saturday, BT will show an exclusive live Premier League match, presented by Jake Humphrey. BT will show 42 matches this season - more than in previous years - starting with Manchester City v Sunderland on 13 August.
At 8pm, Premier League Tonight will air. Humphrey and a band of experts and pundits will sit down to discuss the big stories of the day's football.
The chief of BT Sport, Simon Green, said: "Football fans can look forward to a topical feast of football on Saturday on BT Sport with exciting new shows alongside fantastic exclusively live action. This season we will show more Premier League games than ever before at the new kick off time of 5.30pm."
With football dominating BT Sport 1, there are probably some rugby fans wondering what will happen to Saturday's coverage of Aviva Premiership Rugby. Short answer - it's moving to BT Sport 2.
