BT Sport to air NBA Global Game on Freeview and Facebook

Basketball fans rejoice: the NBA Global Games London 2017 will be broadcast live for free, thanks to BT Sport. The service will simulcast the game as it happens on both Freeview and on its Facebook page.

The London game airs on 12 January at 8pm - featuring Denver Nuggets v Indiana Pacers.

It's the first time an NBA game will ever be shown live on Facebook, at least in the UK, and BT is pulling out all the stops. That includes a special 'NBA Mobile View', which optimises the video for smaller mobile and tablet screens, offering a closer shot of the action.

That means no more straining your eyes when you try and see where the ball is, so we're on board.

Head of BT Sport Simon Green said: "We are always looking for new and innovative ways of showcasing BT Sport. Showing BT Sport's coverage of the NBA Global Games London 2017 on Facebook is a great way to reach new audiences and sports fans who enjoy their entertainment online, through social media and on their mobile devices."

To catch the game, tune in to BT Sport Showcase - Freeview channel 59, Virgin Media channel 548 - or log on to Facebook and find the official BT Sport page.

As for the rest of the games in the season, BT Sport broadcasts up to seven of them live each week, but you'll need the full BT Sport pack to watch them.
